An update from one of our rockstar actors on being in the tech trenches for 44 PLAYS FOR 44 PRESIDENTS. (and a shot of my lovely Teddy bobblehead).
The show is teched!
And actually, it could have been way more of a headache than it was. Tech is always a somewhat trying process – going back and repeating things again and again, taking an hour to get through one scene, sitting in a darkened theatre for ten hours a day, etc. I thought this tech might be particularly difficult because we are all onstage for essentially the entire show, but everything moved surprisingly quickly. We made it all the way to Bush Sr. the first day, and now we are left with a few more days to rehearse and tighten things up before we open next Saturday.
