Rob, I’m Sorry You Have to be An Idiot

Here’s another insightful blog from one of our cohorts. Great to hear people talking about the challenges and excitement to having audience on stage.


Since my last journal entry, I have been to one mingle fest and two rehearsals.  Many things were observed, much internal nerd enthusiasm manifested at the mention of Jon Jory, and I was blown away each time by how much the show progressed since the last.


I am my own brand of shy.  Perfectly fine with public speaking, terrified of private speaking, but the cast and cohorts are so inviting that I was able to get over it and have a really nice time at the first coffee shop cohort get together.  Amongst other things, we chatted about Jason Schwartzman and H. Jon Benjamin, so I was thrilled. 


That day was the first that the actors were on their feet during rehearsal and I overheard them speaking about wrapping their heads around the blocking.  This production of Book Club Play is going to have some of the audience…
