The award-winning Geva Comedy Improv has appeared as part of the First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival since its inception in 2012 – first with a popular Zombie themed show, and last year with an Alien Horror Show. This year, they go cinematic with Dead Dames Don’t Dance.
This improvised, live-action Film Noir comedy is staged entirely in black and white (literally), and features ruthless gangsters, femmes fatales, and fast-talkin’ thugs with a penchant for convoluted slang. The show also features live musical accompaniment. So scrape up a sawbuck and get a slant on a show that’s a real darb – before the button man fits you for a Chicago overcoat…
Film noir as a genre remains extremely popular among movie-goers of all ages. Dead Dames Don’t Dance has been created to dovetail with Geva’s current Mainstage production of Wait Until Dark.
