Opening Night – From the Actors’ Point of View

IMG_0690Have you ever wondered what goes through an actor’s mind on opening night? Nora Cole, who wrote and performed in Katherine’s Colored Lieutenant shares exactly that, in this blog, written as part of her Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowship, which allowed Nora to spend the last two years researching and writing this fascinating story. As part of that grant, Nora traveled to many of the locations mentioned in the play, worked with family members to understand the full history, and was in residence at Geva during the Festival of New Theatre in 2013 and 2014.
